Buffer Tank

The Anergy Buffer Tank / Hydraulic Separator is designed to enhance the performance and stability of HVAC chilled water and hydronic systems. By increasing the system water volume and thermal mass, it helps maintain stable operating conditions and reduces frequent plant cycling.

The tank is available with 2 or 4 connection configurations, depending on the system design and application requirements. Multiple connection sizes are available for each tank size, allowing flexibility based on system capacity, installation location, and operational needs.

When used as a Hydraulic Separator, the unit features four connections with a built-in bypass, which effectively separates the primary and secondary circuits. This ensures smooth flow operation and prevents interference between the circuits.

The unit also includes an automatic air vent to remove accumulated air from the system, helping maintain efficient circulation and reducing the risk of air-related issues.

By adding thermal mass to the system, the buffer tank helps maintain a balanced chilled water supply, even during sudden load changes or temporary power interruptions.
