Locking Refrigerant Caps

Uniweld Locking Refrigerant Caps are specially designed tamper-resistant caps used to secure refrigerant circuit access ports in HVAC and refrigeration systems. Manufactured in the U.S.A, these caps help prevent unauthorized access, refrigerant theft, and accidental refrigerant release, ensuring system safety and compliance with international safety standards.

The caps are precision machined from high-quality brass and nickel plated to provide excellent corrosion resistance and long service life in outdoor environments. They are available in two standard sizes – 1/4″ and 5/16″ flare, with the size roll-stamped on the cap for easy identification.

Uniweld locking caps help reduce potential liability related to refrigerant inhalation hazards, while also protecting refrigerant stored in cylinders and recovery tanks. These caps comply with International Mechanical Code (IMC) 1101.10 and International Residential Code (IRC) M1411.6, which require outdoor refrigerant access ports to be fitted with locking-type tamper-resistant caps.
